Lost in the Shadows
Blisstix returns to Sub-Label Recordings, White Label, with a his next release, titled - Lost in the Shadows. Featuring four tracks of energetic, breaks infused electronica, drawing from many influences in the electronic music world. Strap in and enjoy the ride.
Staring with 'It's Over', a dreamlike pad opens the ep with prestige and intrigue before the drums and bass pick up the energy and transform the track into rich woven tapestry of grooves, that make your whole body move.
Next we have 'Star Gazer', a more progressive track that whispers in with subtle instrumentation before the drum production that we have now come to expect from Blisstix. The track opens out with space and depth, before returning to the somewhat euphoric chorus sections.
'Gravitational Pull' is the third piece we are presented with on the release. With influences from breaks and drum n bass, the beat propels the track forward, the deep bass swells and rises under the manipulated synth work.
Closing with the title track, 'Lost in the Shadows', with sharp arpeggiated, playful lead lines, organic yet alien sounding wind instruments, and an infectious groove, of course, that creates a sonic palette of musical prowess.
