Opening with the title track, Higher Clouds, this is a journey through deep sounds and hypnotic grooves. Warm pads with evolving texture are supported by layers of beautifully delayed stabs which build up the momentum and intensity of the journey. Inspired by the view of the horizon, the sea, the sun, and the evolving clouds in that cascade through the sky.
Next is Push with its mesmerising synth lines and driving bass sounds that interplay with haunting warehouse stabs. The track builds up towards the break, filled with energy that releases into the groove and brings the whole track roaring through.
The release closes with Spring, with its evolving pads supported by the driving call and response basses, blended with hard yet precise drums. The stabs of the synth builds up towards an emotional break with a beautiful melody line that develops into the role as the main star, and draws everything perfectly together into the peak of the journey.
